The kitchen is separate and fully equipped, with a practical breakfast table. It also opens straight onto a terrace-balcony. There is air conditioning, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a TV and Wi-Fi. So the house is easy to live in for a fortnight.
The pool and the covered terrace
Outside, the star is a private pool of distinctive design. A stone sun deck with loungers runs around it, and the pines do the rest. Beside it, a covered terrace with a cane pergola and outdoor sofas is the place for the hottest hours. There is a garden and parking too.

La Paloma, in Sant Llorenç, cooks simply and grows much of what it serves, in a lovely setting. Es Pins, on the Sant Joan road, is the other local option, with traditional island dishes. And for a swim, Cala Xarraca has turquoise water over a rocky bottom, very good for snorkelling.
